Removing files from hard drive?

I had an HP pavilion laptop that a couple of weeks ago died on me. Turns out, after dismantling the whole computer, that it's the Nvidia chip malfunctioning. I decided to just get a new computer but I want the files off my old one. My entire laptop is dismantled and even if it were intact it would not turn on. The hard drive is perfectly fine, is there a way to get the files off of it without having to put together my old laptop? Thank you!
