Need legal advice about an order from Next that has been cancelled?

I ordered a bed in the Next sale and got the confirmation that it was accepted and got the delivery date, I dismantled my old bed and binned it, also took a day off work to await delivery of the new bed, but on the morning it was due to be delivered they called to say they had to cancel because the bed was out of stock but they could offer a 10% discount on any other bed, obviously my partner and I are outraged, he called them and again they offered 10% discount but would need to speak to the account holder so I called and they offered me 20% discount plus �30 put in my account, I seen a similar bed on their website but with storage and I told them I want that bed but at the sale price I was going to pay but they said no sorry we can't do that, so now we are stuck without a bed and instead of only having to pay �220 for the bed they are expecting us to pay double for a full price bed which still works out too dear even with discount. Can anything be done about this?
